Botulinum Toxin Injections (BOTOX)
Botulinum Toxin (Botox) is most commonly used on “active” wrinkles, those that occur when the muscles of the face are in movement. Functioning as a muscle relaxant, Botox is administered via a series of painless, super-fine injections into those areas of the face where wrinkles most commonly develop. It works to dramatically smoothen frown lines on the forehead and between the brows as well as crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes. Dr. Varveris recommends that Botox be performed every three to nine months to provide lasting and satisfying results.
